In Middle School choral music, students learn to use and express themselves with their voices. Vocal technique, in-tune singing and choral singing (unison and 2-part), are skills that are explored. In addition, students can further explore vocal music opportunities by joining Cantatores, 男孩唱诗班, the Class 8 Show Choir, or the annual Middle School musical.
Cantatores is a choral ensemble open to all Middle School girls. Performance opportunities are offered through 教堂 services, school-sponsored concerts throughout the year, and other community events. Though the group is a performing ensemble, the students are taught music literacy skills, vocal techniques, sight-reading, and understanding of style through the process of preparing choral literature.Cantatores meets from August-February, culminating in the Middle School Pop Show.
